About Don Matakis

Don Matkis has studied and grown aquarium plants most of his life, and has a real passion for the topic. I've had the pleasure of meeting Don in person, and was impressed by both his knowledge and his enthusiasm for the hobby.

Over the years Don had learned a great deal about plant growing, and enjoys sharing that knowledge with others. Don is a regular guest author here at the Freshwater Aquarium site, and his expertise in plants is greatly appreciated. He sincerely wants to help other aquarium hobbyists be successful in keeping their plants.
