The primary concern is ensuring that fish are feed the proper amount. A pill dispenser is a cheap and easy way to solve that problem. Put the proper amount of food in the well for each day, and you are all set. Each tank can have its own dispenser. Have fish that need multiple feedings in one day? Get a pill dispenser that has a morning, noon, and night well.

Feeding Ring
This is a simple, but very effective feeding tool. Attack one of these to the side of the tank at the waters surface. The food can't float away and be left uneaten (and decaying) because the fish don't find it. Do you have a timid fish who gets pushed out of the way at feeding time? For those fish, rings are a lifesaver. Use two feeding rings on opposite sides of the tank to give everyone a chance to come to the diner table. Another plus with multiple feeding rings is the option to place different foods in each ring. The price is low, so pick up several of these nifty gadgets.
Veggi Clip
These simple little clips are fantastic for feeding fresh foods to your fish. The clip has a large suction cup that attaches easily to the aquarium glass. Use it to feed purchased foods, or your own fresh vegetables such as spinach or lettuce. One word of caution - remove any uneaten food promptly, as decaying food can quickly cause water problems.
Worm Cone
If you want to feed live worms to your fish, this little gadget is an absolute must. Drop the worms into the cone, an they are dispensed slowly, giving your fish time to snap them up before then can fall to the bottom and burrow into the gravel. Not to mention the pure entertainment value of watching your fish make a beeline to the cone when you fill it with worms. It's a treat no fish can resist.

If you'd like to try your hand at hatching live brine shrimp for your fish, this simple hatchery is a good way to give it a try without spending a lot on expensive equipment. If you want to breed your fish, fresh brine shrimp are a must for feeding newly hatched fry. Keep a couple of them, starting each a day apart for a continuous supply of fresh brine shrimp.

For years experts have cautioned against those chalky weekend feeder blocks, leaving fish owners at a loss for how to feed their fish when they are away from home. Tetra has recently offered a gel type feeder that does not foul the water, and allows fish to graze at their leisure. It comes in a 5 day and 14 day size. Unopened, they can be kept on the shelf for quite some time. Keep a couple on hand for occasions when you have a spur of the moment trip, and need to leave your fish unattended for a long weekend.

Worried about finding someone to feed your fish while you are away? An automatic feeder is an option to having a fish sitter. Fish are fed a measured amount on a regular basis, which prevents overfeeding, the number cause of pollution in the aquarium. Although auto-feeders are a bit pricey, and should always be tested prior to going away, but when used properly they are a viable option.
