Books are invaluable to all fish owners, from beginner to advanced. This selection of reference books covers a wide range of topics about Rainbowfish.
1. Rainbowfishes In Nature And In The Aquarium
This is one of my favorite books in my library. It is well organized, contains in-depth information, as well as excellent full color photos. Habitat, feeding, breeding, and health care are all covered. Fairly pricey, but worth it if you love Rainbowfish.
2. Aqualog All Rainbows and related families
Aqualogs are designed to maintain consistency fish identification, regardless of nomenclature changes. Each fish has at least one color photo, basic information, and a description. Regular updates are published to keep the original volume up to date. This volume covers rainbow fish photos, biotope suggestions, and tips about maintenance.
3. Rainbowfish Complete Owner's Manual
For the beginner, this is an excellent book that covers all the basics for keeping Rainbowfish successfully. However, it does not cover all species, nor does it provide much in-depth information as I'd like to see.4. Rainbow Fishes Keeping & Breeding Them in Captivity
This is yet another basic Rainbow fish guide that covers common Rainbows and how to care for them. For the price it's not bad, but you get what you pay for.
