Everyone eventually has to deal with a sick or injured fish. Having
reference material on hand when the problem arises can make all the difference. These
fish health books will help you keep your fish hale and hearty.
The best feature of this book lies within the first two dozen pages, which are a symptom flow sheet. Simply follow the chart to identify the what is wrong with your fish and find detailed treatment options. If I could only have one book on fish health, this is the one I'd choose.
Perhaps one of the easiest books on fish health to follow. Contains lots of
photos, and is organized well by type of disease. Updated in 2003, this book is a must for the serious fish owner. One of my most used books.
Although this is actually a general fish reference book, the section on disease is excellent. It offers listings by symptom and by disease, and is easy to flow. The price is low enough to make it worth adding to your library, even if you have another fish health book.
This is a rather technical book that is not geared for the beginner. However, if you are looking for more detailed information it is an excellent reference book. The master book is broken down into sections that cover other topics, such as breeding and genetics. Each section may be purchased as a separate book, however the other sections make purchasing the Master Volume the extra cost.
Don't be fooled by the small size of this book. It covers all the important aspects of fish health. If you are looking for a small, easy to read, general purpose health book, this one will fit the bill.
A good comprehensive text that is packed with lots of great information. Not heavy on photos, but it does cover a lot of territory.
Covers everything from environmental issues, to nutritional deficiencies, to bacteriology, and everything in-between. Pricey book, but worth it for those who are in the fish hobby professionally, or anyone who wants a top notch fish health reference book.
