Live Plant Journal - Part 5

Ozelot Sword

Ozelot Sword

Sheila has sent photos of her individual plants after the tank was filled, as well as a great top down photo showing the layout of the plants.

I have sent Shirlie pictures that I took from the top of my tank. I labeled each plant in the photo as follows. I also took individual photos of the plants. You can click on the name of the plant to see the individual photo.

A - Hornwort
B - Ozelot Sword
C - Cryptocoryne Petchii (front plant)
D - Cryptocorryne Lucens (front plant is Petchii, the Lucens is behind it)
E - Narrow Leaf Java Fern
F - Dwarf Sagittaria
G - Green Wendtii
H - Narrow Leaf Saggitaria
I - Anubias Nana

I will be keeping you all updated as to how things are going. As soon as I am able to add a couple fish I will take more pics and post them as well. Also, as the days go on I will be watching for stress in my fish and my plants and hoping that all will go well. I can say one thing for sure, this sure is much more beautiful than the plastic plants I had before. I am happy that I made this choice. Keep a look out for more to come. ~ Sheila

Guide Notes
What can I say? The plants look great. I can't wait to see the tank as it matures, and as she adds a few more fish.

... stay tuned, our series will continue as Sheila deals with the perils of having her tank rearranged by her grandson.

My thanks to Sheila for sharing her journal and to Don Matakis for sending plants and providing Sheila with expert advice.
