Definition: Crustacean are any member of the anthropoid Phylum Crustecea, typically having a hard shell. They have a segmented body, jointed appendages, and two pairs of antennae (as opposed to a single set of antennae found in insects). Crustaceans include amphipods, barnacles, copepods, crabs, crayfish, isopods, krill, lobsters, ostracods, prawns, shrimp, water fleas, and woodlice.
