Should new fish owners be trained?
A reader recently wrote in with the comment,
"I have seen too many cases where people go to the store buy everything including the fish then take it all home dump some tap water in, toss the fish in and wonder why the fish die almost immediately. To me buying a fish is the same as having a family. I feel there should be standards placed on fish just like on other animals. " What are your thoughts? Should non-experienced consumers need to be educated concerning tank set-up, maintenance, and care before purchasing fish?
