Water changes are touted by some, and bashed by others. One common story used when debating the perils of frequent water changes is that they will kill the fish.

Is it true? Actually there is some truth to the story, but before you give up on water changes, learn the real reason why in some cases water changes do kill fish.

Yo Yo Loach

Wednesday November 11, 2009
Study this photo closely and guess where the Yo Yo loach got it's name. Bingo, you guessed it! The the pattern of Y's and O's adorning the flanks of this lively fish are a dead giveaway.

Yo Yos are fun
to keep, and make a great addition to a community tank. However, they don't do well with all fish, so before you bring them home it's wise to read up on their care and habitat requirements.

Have you kept Yo Yo Loaches? Contribute to the profile by adding your own experiences. Your knowledge could help other owners!

Blue Ram Dream

Sunday November 8, 2009
Seeing a fish owners dream come true makes my day. Hey, do you have any advice to offer this fish owner? I'd like to see him have his perfect tank.

"Basically, I want a tank with two blue rams, some beautiful and tasteful decorations and other smaller fish. Atm I have a 50gal just a week old with two tiger barbs, a pleco, weather loach and kuhli loach for cycling with some gravel from my old tank.

I basically need a full breakdown of what to keep with the rams (plants and other fish), what decorations, when i should add them etc. Any info at all, just tell me how to get some rams and make them happy."
