Neon Tetras

By February 12, 2013

Follow me on:

Arguably one of the most popular of the Tetra family, the Neon Tetra is a beautiful little fish that is quite often confused with its close cousin, the Cardinal Tetra.

Both species can be kept in a community aquarium with other small, peaceful fish, However, like most Tetras they should always be kept in schools, preferably in a well aquascaped planted tank. Few things are as stunning as a large school of Neon or Cardinal Tetras.

Have you kept Neon Tetras? If so, share your owner experiences with others. For tips on choosing Tetras, watch this helpful video about different types of Tetras.
