Speeding Up the Aquarium Cycle

We all have to go through it, setting up that new aquarium, followed by the dreaded 'cycle'. And we've all probably said to ourselves at some point, "Is there any way I can speed this up, or better yet, just avoid it entirely?" Unfortunately there is no way to instantly establish a stable nitrogen cycle in a new aquarium. However, there are ways to speed up the aquarium cycle, which will reduce the stress your fish experience. Have you come up with your own tips for ways to shorten the cycle?
