Air pumps are a versatile aquarium accessory that every aquarium owner should have on hand, if nothing more than for emergencies. Battery powered air pumps
can mean the difference between saving your fish and losing them if the power goes out. They are also helpful to provide aeration when moving fish from one location to another. It's wise to have at least one battery operated air pump on hand at all times.
Standard air pumps
are also a useful accessory. They can provide additional aeration when needed, run air curtains and other decorations, as well as driving UGFs, box and sponge filters.
