Aquarium Dangers

Most people wouldn't list aquariums high on the dangerous equipment list. However, there are a number of aquarium hazards that every owner should be aware of.

One of the top potential dangers is that of electrical shock. While the pros and cons for grounding an aquarium have been debated by experts, there is little doubt shocks do happen around water. To avoid shocks, it's important to always use drip loops with aquarium equipment.

Equipment isn't the only danger, though. Products used to clean tanks and decorations can also present a hazard. Bleach is one of the products most often debated. Do you think bleach is safe for aquarium use?
