One of the more popular members of the Barb family, the Gold Barb is green colored in its natural habitat. However, back in the 1960s a gold strain was captive bred, and has been hugely popular ever since. Gold Barbs are easy to care for, and not fussy about water conditions. Even better is their peaceful disposition which makes them great companions for virtually any other peaceful fish. As long as you keep then in a school, they will thrive almost anywhere. Have you kept Gold Barbs? If so, share your experiences with this popular Barb.Other Barbs
