Kissing Gourami

Kissing Gouramis may appear to be the worlds most romantic fish, frequently locking each other in a passionate kiss. Unfortunately they aren't smooching for fun, they are actually fighting over territorial rights.

Lacking hands to hold a sword in defense of their territory, Kissing Gouramis battle with their mouths instead. The one with the most powerful lips wins out. Gives a whole new meaning to the saying "kiss and make up", doesn't it?

Have you kept a Kissing Gourami? If so, share your experiences about care, habitat, feeding and breeding of Kissing Gouramis. Your knowledge could help other owners.
