Everyone gets the urge to freshen up in the spring. Instead of only cleaning closets, why not spruce up your aquarium too? Start with a good cleaning.
Next trim your live plants and give them a good fertilizing. If you have artificial plants, take them out and scrub them well. Banish any stubborn algae growth by soaking the plants in 10% bleach, then rinse well and air dry before returning them to the tank. Lastly, don't forget the water. Water changes are important any time of the year.
