Glow Fish Patent

Friday November 28, 2008
Glow fish seem to pop up in the news or conversations over and over. Check out this recent opinion posted by a forum member, then visit the forum to read more of the conversation and post your own thoughts.

"In my opinion:
A. It is ethically wrong to patent a life form.
B. It is arrogant to produce a fish and make it illegal for anyone else to breed and distribute it.
C. Every glo-fish that is bought only encourages the above.
D. The advertisements and promotional material always show a bigger, healthier, more spectacular fish than what are actually available to the public which makes ME think of false advertising, but I'm not accusing anyone of anything.
E. They are gawdy and ugly and should not grace the tank of any retail establishment.

All of the above is my opinion only and I do not wish to slander the two distributers of this fish nor the people who developed them. Strictly my opinion. I hate them and I hate what they represent.

I hope they go away. "
