Weather Loach

Thursday June 26, 2008
Is it possible that this fish can tell if a storm is coming? Believe it or not, the lowly weather loach may be a better weather predictor than your local weather reporter. Active and interesting to watch, the weather loach senses changes in barometric pressure which occur before storms. Even if you don't need a weather pedictor, the weather loace is a fun fish to keep.

(1) John says:

I had a weather loach for years and was my favorite in the tank. He cost something like 6-8 dollars. Just went to the Asian grocery and they were $9.99 a lb. I bought 4 for $1.10. They looked at me like I was nuts buying 4. They must of thought I had a tiny appetite.
