If you've kept Goldfish, you may have encountered the same problem as this forum visitor."I have a 2 year old ryukin and he lays on the bottom of the tank 90% of the time.(sideways), other than that he is perfectly healthy fins are full and untorn. his breathing is quick but not labored. occasionally he snaps up to life swims in rapid bursts but sadly just falls sideways back down to the bottom. he is eating, but im not sure he is defecating. an the other goldfish in the tank are thriving. I feed sinking hikari fancy goldfish food pellets twice a day. chem levels are good, also occasionally i put aquarium salt in the tank, put with no regularity. again any help would be great."
