Keep the cat, or the fish? Decisions, decisions ....
"How do you kill a cat? Ok so I haven't totally gone to murder but my cat and I are having issues. I'll quote a comedian who once said "me and my wife are great at compromising, she wanted a cat, I didn't want the cat.... so we compromised and got the cat." That's my story. Any way back to my problem. The cat seems to think its great fun to sit on the hood of my aquarium and watch the fish through the glass. This wouldn't bother me except the cat never knows when the glass is closed and when I'm feeding the fish that the glass is open... which leads to a soaking wet cat. I would prefer the cat to leave the tank alone all together. Does any one have any advice... or should i just "forget' to close the door one day when letting the dog out?"

Well, there is a solution to your cat-fish problems
and it doesn’t involve letting the dog in. You may simply need to switch to a wall aquarium. There are a ton of different styles of aquariums now and you can actually accomplish 2 things by switching: 1) You can keep your aquarium out of reach, and 2) You can save counter/table space by using a wall aquarium. There are sizes and shapes to fit almost any taste, and they can create a beautiful piece of living art right on your walls. Seven Seas Wall Aquariums has a big selection and carries most of the well-known brands. Good luck with your cat
If you had to “compromise”, which meant she didn’t listen to your wishes then that cat is on borrowed time. Do not feel guilty about it. Cats are cute and fluffy? They’re evil & self absorbed!! Want to rid your house of this evil? This is what you need…big gonads & a 5 gallon bucket a/lid. With your balls well in place, fill the 5 gallon bucket nearly all the way full (leave an inch or so on top for displacement), insert cat & then close lid tight!! Five minutes later open aquarium, toss cat in, call wifey immediately!!
