Stale Fish Food?

"Has anyone ever heard that fish food is really only good for about a month? I had no clue, I have been feeding my fish from the same container that was given to me with the tank 6 mo. ago!
I read that it loses it's nutritional value within a month and therefore the fish are more susceptible to getting sick! I only found this out because I was researching on varieties of food. It makes sense. I wouldn't want to eat chips I've had in a container for more than a month. Stale Yuck!! I thought it was good info to pass on!
Am I the only idiot that didn't know about that? I have to say since I have been feeding them the fresh food they barely let a crumb hit the floor!!"

hello, i must say that while what you are saying is true. i have been feeding my fish from the same containers for the past 4 months and have been noticing a steady and healthy growth! it’s where you keep your food and how you store it. i keep it in a small insulated bag. enjoy
Since most food is in a carboard container, and I don’t believe DAte Stamped. Who’s to determine fresh?
I’m not sure which country the above user is in, but here in Europe all the fish food comes in plastic containers with a freshness foil seal to keep it air tight before the first usage. Also there is a use by date stamped on every container sold. This way you can be sure to buy fresh food. Once opened you’re supposed to use up the food within a couple of months.
Fish food will go stale and in some cases if not properly kept, it might even get wormy. If you wish to view some interesting reading about how most food is made, check out a fairly new web site out there - wwww.AlmostNaturalTropicalFishFood.com
You can order some high quality food at the same web site.
