World's Largest Fish Tank
Sunday November 20, 2005
At 6.2 million gallons the tank housing two whale sharks is easily the world’s largest aquarium. Set to open to the public on Wednesday of this week, the Georgia Aquarium, which houses the 6.2 million gallon tank among other things, has much to be proud of.
Built by Bernie Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot, the aquarium presents exhibits that represent aquatic ecosystems ranging from the open oceans, to the coastlines, to African rivers. This exhibit is well worth planning a trip around. The Georgia Aquarium website has exhibit information as well as photos and videos.
