Fiddler Crabs

Saturday September 24, 2005
For the past week I've been lounging on the beach at St. George Island. One day I noticed a huge mass of movement over a dune. Upon close inspection, I discovered they were little fiddler crabs. Seeing them scramble around on the beach, in and out of the salty water, made me think of how often Fiddler Crabs are not properly cared for. If you elect to keep them, be sure you provide the right environment for them.
