Cat ate my Betta

This (former) Betta owner needs some help keeping his cat away from his fish. Do you have any ideas?
"My cat-easy ate my beta-car. My beta was sitting there in his own 10 gallon (yea I know he was spoiled) minding his own business and my cat lifted the lid scooped him out and ate him. I don't think my "car" insurance is going to cover this, but my real question is what is a good way to keep the cat out of my tanks?"
