Oldest Fish

Last December at Chicago's Shedd Aquarium a lungfish celebrated it's 70th anniversary. Although most aquarium fish don't live quite that long, many owners have fish that are ten years or older. How old is your oldest fish?

The oldest captive fish ever recorded was a KOI Carp called Hanako she was born in 1751 and was 226 years old when she died in 1977.
